Nominate now for East Ayrshire Youth Awards 2025

Do you know a child or young person who deserves to be recognised for their efforts or achievements?

The East Ayrshire Youth Awards will be taking place in March 2025 and East Ayrshire Council wants to hear about any young people who you think should receive an award from the following categories:

·                Diversity and Inclusion Champion

  • Climate Change Champion
  • Intergenerational Champion
  • Young Volunteer Champion
  • Sporting and Physical Activities Champion
  • Unsung Hero: Young Carers’ Champion
  • Youth Voice Champion
  • Champion Apprentice
  • Wellbeing Champion
  • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) Champion
  • Inspiring Young Person of the Year
  • East Ayrshire’s Young Champion (overall winner – Depute Provost’s Award)

Nominations can be made for any child or young person up to the age of 25. Those shortlisted will be invited to attend an Awards Ceremony in March 2025.

Closing date for nominations is Friday 6 December 2024 at 5pm.

Halloween Costumes Reminder

We have a selection of Halloween costumes available  in school for children to borrow.  Please feel free to pop in and have a look at them. 

All we ask is that children return costumes to the school so they can be reused again next year.

Halloween Disco Reminder

A reminder that our Halloween Disco is this Thursday evening. The disco is organised by FOMC, therefore please do not bring any money or tickets back into school. 

Tickets cost £2.50 and have a part on the reverse to fill in with child’s name, contact number, and whether they are walking home or being picked up.

Please  bring the ticket and money to the school on the night of the disco.

October School Raffle

We will be holding our own monthly school raffle again this month (this is separate from the Killiween Raffle ).

Tickets can be purchased via Parentpay and are £1 per strip of 5. 

This raffle closes on Tuesday 29th October and will be drawn on Friday 1st November .

This month FOMC will be holding a “Killieween” Raffle.

To be in with a chance of winning, you need to purchase your tickets via Parentpay. Tickets are £1 for a strip of 5 and are available now.

The last day to purchase tickets will be Tuesday 22nd October and the raffle will be drawn on in school on Killieween- Friday 25th October.

Pantomime 2024

Goldilocks And The Three Bears - Super Simple

A reminder that this year the whole school will be going to the Kilmarnock pantomime – Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.

The cost per child is £15.

This is on Parentpay and is payable in 3  instalments of £5 and we are asking kindly if full payment can be made no later than Friday 29th November.

Women and Girls Chest Heart Stroke Scotland football festival is running at Rugby Park on Sunday 22nd September 11am – 12:30pm. This is a free event which is open to all ages and abilities. Sign up as an individual and you will be placed within a team on the day.
