Primary 1 Registration- August 2024
P1 Registration
Children who attain the age of 5 years between 1 March 2024 and 28 February 2025 and whose parents/carers wish them to attend school should be registered for education during the week Monday 8 January 2024 until Friday 12 January 2024. To register you should complete an online application and submit no later than Friday 12 January 2024.

If you are unable to register online then please phone your local school who will assist you to register your child.
Burns Celebration Day
On Friday 26th January we will celebrate Burns Day with a whole school Scottish assembly and lunch menu (details to follow).
Children are also encouraged to wear something tartan.

Head Teacher Christmas Message

We wish you all a prayerful and restful holiday time as well as a Happy New Year.
We look forward to welcoming our children back to school on Monday 8th January at 9am.
Breakfast club will return on this day at 8.15am for those that access this.

Change to lunch Menu-Thursday & Friday
Just a few changes to the menu.
Thursday – Baked potato and cheese instead of the stir-fry.
Friday – Lentil soup and sandwiches with a choice of tuna mayo, cheese or turkey fillings.
Early Finish for Christmas Break
A reminder that the school closes at 2.30pm on Friday 22nd December for the Christmas break. Children who travel by taxi will be picked up at 2pm. We re-open for staff and pupils at 9am on Monday 8th January.

Winning House Prize-19/12

A reminder that the Winning House- FIRE, will be visiting Jungle Madness tomorrow (19/12/23) as their House prize!
All permission forms must be back by tomorrow morning please.
All pupils going should wear leggings/jogger bottoms with school polo shirt/sweatshirt where possible.

P4 Christmas Jumper Day🎄
School Choir Singing at Tesco
Our school choir will be singing at Tesco, Glasgow Road, Kilmarnock on Monday 18th December from10am until 11.30am. We would be delighted if as many parents/carers are able to pop in between those times and show their support .
There will also be an opportunity to give a donation.

Christmas Show Times-Reminder
A reminder that our P1-3 Christmas show takes place tomorrow at 2pm, with doors opening at 1.30pm for refreshments. We are asking for as many P1-3 pupils to be in school tomorrow to help make our show the best it can be as it is almost a sell out!
Our evening performance, which is sold out, takes place on Thursday night at 6pm, with doors opening at 5.30pm for refreshments.
We are asking for all pupils involved in the show to be in school no later than 5.30pm on Thursday evening.

P1-3 Christmas Show

We are delighted to let you know we will be serving tea and coffee prior to both of our show performances.
Doors open 30 mins before each performance….so 1.30pm tomorrow and 5.30pm on Thursday.
Please bring some change with you as there will also be juice and sweetie bags on sale, as well as some of our class Christmas crafts.

Reverse Advent Calendar-Reminder
A reminder that our Reverse Advent Calendar initiative is already up and running for this year.
We are asking kindly for any donations you can possibly manage, no matter how small, for this wonderful cause. All items collected will be added to the St. Matthew’s Food Bank to help local families this Christmas.
Items can be brought into school between now and the last week in December.
**Please do not hand in perishable foods, thank you**

Reminder-Nativity Tickets Now On Sale
A reminder that tickets are available through Parentpay for this year’s Nativity, “The Magical Christmas Journey” which will be performed by our wonderful P1,2,and 3 pupils.
Although there is no cost attached to the tickets, we would delighted if you could made a dontation via Parentpay. Our suggested donation is £2.
We are limiting our tickets to 4 per family for the moment.
