Primary 4 First Communion Celebration

Primary 4 had a fantastic afternoon on Friday at our First Communion Party – we enjoyed  party games, dancing and snacks, including a delicious cake!

We were delighted that Sr. Juliet was able to join us. For the past few months, she has been visiting us in class to support us with our First Communion preparations, so we took this opportunity to present her with a small token of our appreciation for all her support, kindness and prayers.

Countdown to Showtime!

Today we had our first full run through using microphones and lighting, and it made a big difference. It’s the first time everything has come together properly, and it gave us a clear sense of how the show will feel on show days. A few things to tidy up, but overall a really solid run.
You might even spot our seating plan is different this year…

Tomorrow we move on to our first full run in costume before the dress rehearsal with Primary 1 and 2 as our audience on Friday.

We’re looking forward to performing for our families next week,  tickets are still available if you haven’t got yours yet.

There will also be merchandise on sale at the shows. Please note that it will be cash only.    Mrs Terras

World of Work

Last Thursday, the Positive Destinations Community Group put on their World of Work morning. Pupils were involved in a range of activities to help them learn about the work place. This included, watching videos from members of the school community about their careers, taking part in engineering challenges, litter-picking and visiting a drama-based jobs fayre.
We would also like to say a big thank you to local fireman, Leroy, who visited twice this week to talk to pupils about his roles as a firefighter and a bee keeper.
This day allowed pupils to consider the range of positive destinations that are available to them.
