We are excited to be holding another ‘Let’s Connect’ wellbeing afternoon as part of Children’s Mental Health Week.
Your are invited into school with your child/children on Wednesday 31st of January from 1.30pm-2.45pm. There will be lots of fun activities on offer and all we are asking for is a small donation of a £1 to support Place 2 Be Children’s Mental Health Charity.
Please complete the online Glow form in the link below to allow us to plan activities according to numbers.
Our wonderful Christmas Choir visited Rowantree Court to perform to the residents and members of the community. It was lovely to visit again and spread some Christmas cheer.
We look forward to visiting again in the New Year.
What a week it has been at Drongan Primary School. Both the P1 – 3 Nativity and the P4 – 7 Show were absolutely fantastic and once again showcased the wonderful talent that we have among the children here in Drongan. It is a pleasure and a privilege to work with the children every day to provide them with the opportunity to demonstrate their talents, and the Thursday evening performance was certainly a fitting finale to show week.
A huge well done to all of the children and a massive thanks to the staff for the work that has gone into the preparations for the performances.
Finally, a big thank you to you the parents, carers and members of the community for your continued support. It is an honour not only to work in a school with great pupils and staff, but also to serve what is such a strong and supportive community here in Drongan.
There are two Sway presentations below with links to photographs of the cast list and choruses for the shows. Some children are off today but we will take their photo when they return and add to the Sway presentation.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Fayre on Tuesday 5th December. With the support and generosity of you and the community we raised over £2400 for the school fund on the night. This total will increase with he work that is going on in the school. It is always a pleasure to see the school so busy and was also lovely to see so many former pupils who came along to support the event.
Thank you to Mr McFadzean and Mrs Tait for all the hard work involved in making this event such a success.
Anti-Bullying Week 2023: Make A Noise About Bullying
In school this month, we will be talking about the different kinds of bullying, how bullying makes people feel and what you can do to help if you see someone being bullied.
Please talk about bullying at home with your children and have a look on the website below for activities and ideas to try at home.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Merkland Farm Feeds for delivering some supplies for our new Guinea Pigs. A local Ayrshire business who deliver in the area weekly. Follow the link to their website for more information.
We are delighted to let you know that we have achieved GOLD accreditation for our Rights Respecting School Award.
All staff and children have worked very hard to achieve this but a special thanks has to go out to our RRS committee and supporters who spoke to the accreditors on the day, and represented the school brilliantly!
