P1b’s Joseph is being kept out of mischief by his mum. She found Minecraft themed Cosmic Yoga. We think the dog took part too but is now exhausted!

A P1 homeworking task was to design a Gruffalo that was different to the original from the story. Kayden, in P1b, did just that. He also baked cookies with his little brother.
The end result looks fab. Well done boys.
The hub children decided to use their “Elmer” money to support local NHS staff. We bought cakes at Keystore and at 3pm children, dads and gran came over to the pharmacy and medical practice. Mrs Brady took the cakes and a letter in and the children stayed outside socially distanced. The staff were absolutely delighted and shouted their appreciation out the window.

There was a spring theme in the air at Drongan Hub:

Hope this lovely weather holds for our P7s as they enjoy a fun-filled week at Inverclyde.
Our first battery collection was made this week with 2242 batteries being collected for recycling. Our leading individual pupil battery collector to date is Blaike Gibson in P4 with a total of 304 batteries. Well done Blaike. Still lots of time for increasing our total so keep collecting folks.
Many congratulations to Margaret Shields, Drongan’s Catering Superviser, as she celebrates her 50th wedding anniversary today. They say the way to a man’s heart is via his stomach and I’m sure Margaret’s husband would agree.
The winning house last term was Doon. As a treat all the Doon pupils got a movie afternoon on Friday complete with ice cream and popcorn. A fun afternoon was had by all.
