As part of the Local School Nature Grant received from Learning through Landscapes a free training/information session is being held in the school grounds during the afternoon of Thursday 17th January.  Parents of some of the Nature Club pupils are coming along to learn about what can be done to increase the biodiversity of the school,grounds.

In November the Nature Club received 30 trees and 30 hedging bushes free from the Woodlands Trust.  With the help of the East Ayrshire Outdoor Amenities Team an area was chosen in which to plant the trees.  Half the trees were planted before the Christmas break but bad weather called a halt to progress.  The rest of the trees will be planted once the club starts up again in the new session.
