Todays assignments April 3rd

Good morning all, we made it to the ‘last day’ of term. I’ve been so impressed with how positive you have been under very difficult circumstances. Well done to you and your families. As its the last day I have only assigned two tasks. Feel free to do some drawing, a board game, leisure reading or an active activity at home.

Art – YouTube video – Easter Basket. I am looking forward to seeing your drawings.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hy0-JCMKZJo

French –  Play the Numbers Matching Game as attached. Then write numbers to 10  in different colours a Word Document or paper. You could also look at 1-10 in different languages. We began the year doing German as well but this will give us a nice introduction to French. French Numbers Game

IDL – Just a reminder of your African animal fact files that I set on Monday. I have received some already and they are super but please don’t worry if you are pushed for time.

Todays Assignments Wed 1st

Good morning everyone, here are today’s assignments. It has been great seeing what you have all been up to so keep it up! Have a great day 🙂

Dictionary skills – Copy the attached definitions into a jotter or onto paper. This short task is especially important so make sure you have a look at it.  Dictionary copying

Numeracy – Money– You have been given a £10 budget to shop for dinner for a family of 4.  Look online to ‘buy’ your ingredients to make your meal and write down a list of what you purchase, how much it cost you and what change was left.  Remember this is pretend, you don’t actually have to go and buy the dinner.

You can either buy ready meals that just need cooked or you can challenge yourself and buy ingredients to make the dinner.

For example, if you’re making macaroni cheese with garlic bread, you will need to purchase pasta, cheese, milk, butter, flour, garlic bread and then any drinks you want.  Have fun!

Times Tables – Time yourself writing out 5 of the times tables in full e.g. 5×5=25. You could race someone in your family or just try and get the quickest time.

Literacy – Handwriting – Practise joining the tall letters – ‘ab’/’eb’/’ib’/’ob’/’ub’

Lego Challenge – Create a new roller coaster. If you don’t have Lego then feel free to use any other materials. The design is completely up to you. I’m looking forward to seeing what you create.
