Primary 7 created these fantastic line drawings of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry after reading Harry’s first view of the castle.
We focused on using basic shapes to create the building, before adding hatching for sharing creating depth to our castles.
We had fun celebrating Red Nose Day in P7 by creating red nose photos!
We applied our learning about superimposing pictures onto photographs using the remove background feature on Word.

P7 have spent the last few PE sessions working on hockey skills and tactics with Miss Thorpe.
We have especially enjoyed competitive games and working in teams!
Happy New Year! We have been investigating our word of the week; RESOLUTION. We discovered it’s meaning and created mentor sentences using the word. We then discussed our own resolutions and goals for 2022, creating these colourful celebration horns!
Today we took full advantage of the snowy weather to get outside and have fun together!

P7 have been enjoying music workshops from Sounds Right using Garageband on the IPads.
Today we were learning how to create 8 bar musical pieces using Apple Loops.
We had to use several instruments to show progression in the music. have a listen to our tracks!
Today we created shape and movement using pair balances in PE. We really enjoyed our session and we’re keen to show off our skills!
Today we created these fact flap books all about Queen Victoria.
We used tessellation skills to draw 7 hexagons and cut them out to look like a flower with attached petals.
We did a line drawing sketch of Queen Victoria in the centre of our flowers using a portrait found online.
We brainstormed facts we knew about Queen Victoria and shared information with each other!

This week is Book Week Scotland! Every day this week we will be doing a Drop Everything And Read session using books from our class library.

Our P7 boys did a fantastic job on Friday representing our school at the East Ayrshire Council Junior Youth Conference. The conference focused on the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child, and how our learning links with our rights.
They used menti to answer questions and put forward their opinions and now have lots of ideas to take forward our Rights Respecting Schools Silver Award!
