Our Care Experience Officers are dedicated to supporting children and young people who are care experienced, helping them to thrive in education and achieve their full potential. Working as part of the Care Experienced Education Team (CEET), they provide compassionate, relationship-based support that recognises the unique experiences, strengths, and aspirations of every young person.
By working closely with pupils, families, carers, schools, and partner agencies, Care Experience Officers help to remove barriers to learning, promote wellbeing, and ensure that children and young people receive the right support at the right time. Their role includes supporting transitions, encouraging engagement with education, contributing to planning meetings, and advocating for the needs and voices of care experienced learners.
At the heart of their work is a commitment to building trusting relationships, celebrating achievements, and helping young people feel valued, included, and empowered. Through a nurturing and trauma-informed approach, our Care Experience Officers play an important role in improving outcomes and supporting our shared commitment to Keeping The Promise for care experienced children and young people.
