After 25 years of service at Sheuchan Primary we sadly said goodbye to Mrs Fitzgerald, our Nursery Nurse this afternoon. P7 repeated their songs to entertain us and the staff ‘prepared’ a dance to Mrs Fitzgerald’s favourite song. She then ‘graduated’ from our school just like the Nursery children did this morning. We thank Mrs Fitzgerald for all her hard word and commitment over the years and would like to wish her all the best for the future!

Mrs Waterson’s Leaving Assembly
On Friday, 21st June we held an assembly to celebrate Mrs Waterson’s time at Sheuchan Primary School. Classes sung food related songs such as Pizza Hut, Hot dog and Honey, Honey much to Mrs Waterson’s delight. She has worked at Sheuchan for 35 years and she said the best part was talking to all the children each day and watch them grow up. The boys and girls thanked her for all the lovely school dinners she helped cook over the years by presenting her with a handmade card from each class. We wish Mrs Waterson a long and happy retirement. Hopefully now she has time to do all the things she loves to do. Good luck for the future Mrs Waterson.
Sheuchan School Fete
A big thank you to all who came along and supported our fete on Friday night. The turnout was fantastic and although final totals have not yet ben finalised we hope to have raised roughly £1500. A big thank you to all who contributed to our successful raffles. We would like to say an extra special thanks to all the parent volunteers who came along to help at stalls during the fete or to those parents who came down to the school during the day to help with preparations. The football tournament was won by Sheuchan A Team. Well done boys!

Comic Relief
Well done to everyone who contributed to making our Comic Relief day a huge success. We raised £582.32 which is an amazing amount.
Pupils came to school dressed in ‘crazy’ clothes. During the day they took part in different activities such as: decorating a biscuit, having a discothon, shoot the hoop as well as guessing the name of the teddy and having a ‘paint the teacher’s face’ raffle. Leading up to Comic Relief, families took part in the ‘Great Sheuchan Bake Off’ where they had to decorate 4 identical cupcakes or biscuits with a cartoon theme. All entries were fantastic. Lots of fun was had by all and most importantly a lot of money was raised for a very important cause.
