This morning (27th May 2019) we watched another fantastic M&M Production. This year the show was ‘The Hobbit’. We all had a fantastic time watching it and for many of us, it was a new story for us to learn about.

Primary 6 Bowling
On 15th May, Primary 6 had a fantastic time experiencing the game of bowls. We were very fortunate with the weather as we all attempted to “have a go” at a new challenge. The children all enjoyed it and are looking forward to continue developing their skills over the next 2 Wednesdays.
Photos from their second time at bowling.

Primary 7’s Court Visit
Our P7 children visited Stranraer Sheriff Court and learned about the duties of both the Sheriff, Sheriff Clerks and the Procurator Fiscals.
Some of the children were given the opportunity to be the Sheriff, the PF, lawyers, the accused and the witness. A great, fun way for the children to learn and understand the Judicial system.
Port Gardens P3/4
P3/4 enjoyed a visit to Port Logan Gardens on Wednesday 1st May. They looked at how to create photographs from the garden. The children were asked what makes a good photo then they were allowed to take photos using frames to help them. Please view the photos. Port Logan will email there photos to us at a later date.
Port Logan Gardens P.6
On Wednesday, 1st May Primary 6 visited Logan Botanical Gardens to participate in a session about photography. First they looked at a selection of photographs and identified those which were blurry, too busy, wonky etc and then were led into the gardens to identify what would make a great photo. The session leader, Cath, asked them to look for line and perspective, good backgrounds, frames and block colour amongst other things. The session was very interesting and the children finished with taking a photo of their own. These will be emailed to us at a later date. Have a look at some of the photos which were taken.
Music For All
P4/5 walked to the Ryan Centre to enjoy an afternoon of music. The children listened to the descriptions of the musical instruments and enjoyed listening to the range of different music.
Port Logan Gardens P2/3
P2/3 and the P3s from P3/4 enjoyed a morning with their teddy bears at Port Logan Gardens for a Teddy Bear’s Picnic. They thoroughly enjoyed hunting for clues and finding out how Edward the bear lives in the woods.
