A huge thank you to our Parent Council for our new playground toys! The boys and girls were so excited when they realised that there were lots more fun things to enjoy sharing with their friends at break times. Just look at the smiles on their faces! We had the pleasure of welcoming Dean and Adam from YMCA for a basketball session this afternoon. They gave us lots of tips and tricks to help us to develop our basketball skills. It was great fun and we all enjoyed having a shot at shooting, passing, dribbling and playing a game! We will continue to work on our skills this term! Basketball players of the future? Maybe….

On Wednesday the 28th of June the Leswalt A team were awarded with second place in the mixed relay Inter-Primary races. Laura McClymont popped in to present the pupils with their medals. Today Portpatrick and Leswalt pupils headed over to Kirkcolm to enjoy a ‘Get Together Day’! Primary 5-7 have been really busy this term working on their HWB topic about Food Miles and Labelling. P1-4 , Mrs McKnight, Mrs Smith and Mrs Dinsmore headed off to Largs on Tuesday to enjoy a fun day in the sunshine in Largs! Their first pit-stop was at Vikingar where they saw lots of artefacts and had a chance to dress up as Vikings. What a treat parents, family, friends and P5-7 enjoyed this afternoon! P1-4 presented their original production of ‘Dr Who and the Vikings’ – a time travelling expedition which showcased all the learning which had taken place in their class this term on this exciting topic.
