We had the pleasure of welcoming Dean and Adam from YMCA for a basketball session this afternoon. They gave us lots of tips and tricks to help us to develop our basketball skills. It was great fun and we all enjoyed having a shot at shooting, passing, dribbling and playing a game! We will continue to work on our skills this term! Basketball players of the future? Maybe….

On Wednesday the 28th of June the Leswalt A team were awarded with second place in the mixed relay Inter-Primary races. Laura McClymont popped in to present the pupils with their medals. Today Portpatrick and Leswalt pupils headed over to Kirkcolm to enjoy a ‘Get Together Day’! P1-4 , Mrs McKnight, Mrs Smith and Mrs Dinsmore headed off to Largs on Tuesday to enjoy a fun day in the sunshine in Largs! Their first pit-stop was at Vikingar where they saw lots of artefacts and had a chance to dress up as Vikings. What a treat parents, family, friends and P5-7 enjoyed this afternoon! P1-4 presented their original production of ‘Dr Who and the Vikings’ – a time travelling expedition which showcased all the learning which had taken place in their class this term on this exciting topic.
