18.03.19 – 22.03.19

Here is a summary of what we have been doing this week in P6R:

In our writing, we planned and wrote instructions about how to do something which we are familiar with. Pupils were able to share their knowledge of lots of things, including baking, origami, looking after pets, and how to do stunts on their bikes.

Next week, we will continue to develop our skills for functional writing.

In maths, we will develop our understanding of time further by looking at duration and timetables.

This week, we will be continuing our health topic.

In maths, we are beginning to learn about time, looking at the 12hr and 24hr clock.

We are also continuing to develop our understanding of instructional writing for different purposes.

Next week, we will move on to look at directions and bearings in maths.

Our topic work will focus on the physical features of Scotland’s landscape.

Writing work will build upon last week’s work on types of sentences.
