For writing this week, we listened to the beginning of a Viking saga. Sagas were stories Vikings told one another, mainly about gods and goddesses like Thor, Odin and Freyja. We heard the beginning of the saga “Freyja and the goblins” and then wrote our own middles and ends to the story.
Our work was really exciting. We showed off some of the amazing vocabulary we’ve been working on, used connectives and speech marks. Some work included tales of terrifying skeletons approaching Freyja in a cave, in some stories the goblins were friendly and helped Freyja make new jewellery, in others ninjas appeared to help the goddess!
