The Secret Tunnel

This week we’ve been learning more about the River Forth. We’ve learnt where it begins and ends, the type of water present in the river, about the islands in the river, how it was formed and its history.

We read a newspaper article all about a secret tunnel underneath the river. We explored this in pairs, then worked together to complete some activities. Here are some photos of us hard at work.

Rookie Rockstars

We are all really excited about Rookie Rockstars coming to our school next week.

This is the information leaflet sent home today about the programme. Please note the shows will be done in houses- blue willow and yellow oak on Tuesday the 6th of November at 6.30pm and red rowan and green elder on Wednesday the 7th of November at 6.30pm.

Homework

I’ve sent home a sheet with details of a piece of topic related homework. This is due on Thursday 25th October. The children will have the opportunity to share their learning on the 25th and 26th of October.

Please note,  this isn’t due until Thursday 25th October. We decided that since it involves a wee bit more work we’d send it home early just in case anyone is feeling particularly keen!

Looking forward to seeing the end results.

Term One

What a busy term we’ve had in P4B. We’ve learnt about place value, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, adding two digit numbers, Islam, pheasants, vardos, chimney sums, reading tools, French numbers, creative writing, mountain formation, engineering, sustainability, problem solving skills… the list goes on.

We are definitely ready for our holidays now!

Hope everyone has a lovely week off and well done for all of your hard work so far.
