Friendship

We have been doing some work on friendship. We discussed the qualities of a good friend and thought of these- a good friend is kind, honest, trustworthy, someone who you play with lots but not always, not bossy, doesn’t make fun of others for being different, has lots of fun, doesn’t talk  back, treats others as they would want to be treated… we’re lucky in P4B as this describes us really well!

We watched this video all about friendship soup and the ingredients for a friend:

We discussed what we would do in different scenarios and how we can be a good friend to others, for example if someone didn’t have anyone to play with at break time, or was being called names.

Finally we created our own “friendship flowers”. We drew a picture of ourselves in the centre, then passed the flowers around the class and wrote something we liked about the other person on everyone else’s work. There were lots of lovely compliments and smiles being shared.
