The Adventures of Littlecat

Good morning everyone!

Meet Littlecat – my lovely 9 year old tabby.

She’s very friendly and pretty smart too.  I’ve trained her to sit, lie down, give a paw and jump up on her hind legs.  However, she also likes getting up to mischief.  Some of you may already have heard about her exploits – like sleeping in the kitchen drawer, getting stuck on the garage roof, or hiding 56 (yes, 56!) clothes pegs under the tumble-dryer.  She would carry them in her mouth, line them up in front of the tumble-dryer, and shoot them under it with her paw as if she was scoring a goal.

Imagine if she came to stay with you … what kind of adventures would you have together?  Who would get into more trouble – you or her?

Why not write a short story about what you would both get up to? Remember – she IS mischievous – and very smart!

Have fun.  🙂

Es tiempo de Español

Buenos días a todos,

I wish you had a good start of the week. Today Martes 03 de Marzo, it is time for our Spanish activity of the week. First, I will explain your task. After that,  I will do a short review of the topic (so you can remember and to help anyone who might be helping you)  and then it’s your turn!

Click in here so you can see your challenge.

Hola, ¿Cómo te llamas?
Today you will be practicing a short conversation in Spanish with someone at home, or a puppet or toys which ever you think would be more fun! We have done it before so you can try at home.

Hope you enjoy it.

Nos vemos (see you)

Health and Wellbeing : Grid 1. Hot Challenge. Mrs Fraser has a go !

I liked the look of the mindfulness colouring challenge so I decided to be brave and have a go.

I’ve never done a sway before but it was really easy to do. I played around with it and I had fun choosing my font and background.

Click on the box arrows  to view my sway. Leave me a comment for feedback and have a go yourself. You can share your design in a sway or draw it in your journal.

I can’t wait to see what you create.

Mrs Fraser

PE with Joe Wicks

As my P3s know I love a ‘brain break‘ and this one was just what I needed today.  At 9am every weekday morning Joe Wicks has promised to upload a live workout to keep our spirits high and fitness levels up.  My son and I had a great time exercising together and hearing about all the countries around the world that were working out with us.  You can find the workouts on Body Coach Youtube channel.  This morning over 800 000 households around the world joined in! Let us know if you have been doing anything to keep your body and mind healthy.

Health and Wellbeing Grid 1 SPICY challenge!

This is my attempt at this challenge from the health and wellbeing grid1.

I wanted to try the spicy challenge.

“Johanna Basford is a very successful Aberdeenshire artist.

She has shared some images for you to download and colour.

The hare is amazing.

Take a look and download a design to colour in.

If you can’t print maybe you could photograph on a device and mark up to colour in.”

We look forward to

  • hearing about your efforts, please LEAVE A COMMENT.

OR

  • seeing your attempts in your journals when we get back to school

OR

  • posting some of your learning journeys when you share your SWAY with your teacher (P1 do not have access to this)

I have used sway to share my learning journey.

You can make the sway fill the screen by clicking this button

Good Morning Methlick School!

Good morning?
How is everyone today?

You have your journals and the learning grids to help you get started.
The teachers have organised a rota so that new posts are gradually added to the blog throughout the week.
In the background the teachers are planning, creating and writing new blog posts to help you with the activities on the grid.
We will try our best to approve your comments between 9am and 3.15pm.
We are all having to learn a new way of working so let’s continue to be kind and patient with each other as we begin this new learning journey.
Mrs Fraser.
