Your Final Well-Being Wednesday: Mr.Mutch vs Mr.Reid – The Grand Final!

For the final time this year…

Mr.Mutch and Mr.Reid are ready to go sign off in style, in their biggest challenge yet…

or is it challenges. They even got T-shirts made!

We’ve got the whole show team involved (in front and behind the camera) as we do our own ‘Minute to Win it’ Gameshow.

There is no leader board for this week but you can watch the games and adapt them to suit the materials in your home. Come together and enjoy lots of endless laughter, just like we did.

We can’t thank you enough for the great response each episode.

We set out to have a bit of fun and share a community feeling together. Focusing on the mental well being, to have a routine of seeing us each week as we present the next challenge and also viewing the entries of all the other families who took part, the same as you. Plus the physical well being of us all, with the activities we would set.  We hope that during some down time throughout Home Learning this has given a smile and made you laugh.

There are different sections to the song and you could probably think of lots of actions.

Such as dancing around, saxophone, actually walking on sunshine and big dance gestures.

So that we can put it all together! There will be no episode on Wednesday as we will be posting on Friday instead for the end of the Expressive Arts Grids

Sports Day Wednesday: Mr.Mutch vs Mr.Reid #6

THEY ARE BACK!

Ready to take on Sports Day!

Both teachers returned to their competitive views on each other after Friday’s Big Night In.

Because it was Health Fortnight, they decided to use the Sport Day Grid you will be using at home, and adapt the tasks so that it could relate to a timed event.

Enjoy this week’s episode of Mr.Mutch vs Mr.Reid.

This week’s challenge:

Sports Day Stations

Both teachers must complete 4 stations in the shortest amount of time. We set up our stations all within a 5 metre shuttle run with the equipment waiting at the side.

We have….

The Shuttle Run, Star Jumps, Tattie and Spoon and the Shoe Throw.

We hope you have fun and remember to comment, email or seesaw your results to get on the leader board.

Well-Being Wednesday: Mr.Mutch vs Mr.Reid… Not Here

They’ll Be Back… Soon

We Promise!

Mr.Mutch and Mr.Reid both needed to pause production of their Web-Show to focus on the Big Night In.

Mr.Mutch and Mr.Reid are both working really hard to get everything together for the Special Event

They can’t wait to enjoy Friday Evening with you all!

They are really happy with the reception that the Web-Show is getting but at times the teachers struggle to think of a challenge. Do you have any ideas?

Mr.Mutch and Mr.Reid look for challenges that everyone can take part in. Challenges that people can submit a score, time or distance rather than a who did it better task.

Well-Being Wednesday: Mr.Mutch vs Mr.Reid #4

MR.REID IS ON A MISSION!

The teachers are back and this time they are back outside.

Last week’s challenge was really hard but we can tell most people certainly had a growth mindset and took on the power of ‘YET’. Families were messaging saying that they were spending the whole week trying and trying again. Even though some of you didn’t manage it is important to know that you never gave up. Maybe, one day you will be able to build the tower.

This week we learn about how Mr.Reid is getting on in lock down. I wonder how he is feeling?

In their Hardest Challenge Yet, the Teachers are Back!

Mr.Mutch vs Mr.Reid returns this week to bring you an episode inside. We understand not everyone is able to get outside as much as they would like. So, this challenge is perfect for indoors.

This challenge needs time and patience, a perfect opportunity for you to find a quiet space to practice. It is best when you have calm breathing and you are focused. This challenge was really hard for both Mr.Mutch and Mr.Reid.
We both had to believe in ‘The Power of Yet!’ and keep trying.
We are now on episode 3 and we are both very thankful to all the families taking part and making it a big competition in their homes. We have been sent pictures, videos and messages of all the hilarity these challenges have caused.

Enjoy episode 3 and don’t forget to message in your time and find out where you place on the leaderboard next week!

Well-Being Wednesday #2 Journal Entry: Mild

I thought I would share with you all a journal entry I did following the sentence starts for Mild from last Thursday. It has been quite strange the past week with lots of sudden changes to our normal routine. This has been quite challenging and once or twice I have forgotten what day it is. But on Thursday I went for a very long walk and counted so many beautiful rainbows in the people’s windows. Then in the evening I wanted to take part in #clapforourcarers but didn’t know what would happen at 8pm.  It was so lovely to open my lounge window and clap with so many other people with cheering and chanting. It was the first time that week that I had really interacted with other people.

How has your Journal Writing gone? Are you writing daily / every few days?

Mr.Mutch’s Journal Entry

I also shared with you my idea of documenting this time on my journal cover, so I thought I would share with you how it is looking so far, is anybody else doing a doodle cover?

Mr.Mutch’s Doodle Journal Update

Well-Being Wednesday w/ Mr Mutch #1

Mr.Mutch’s Learning Journal

My P2s know that Wednesdays are special, they even have a special name. We call them Well-Being Wednesdays, at school we try to cover our Health and Well-Being topics on that day. So, I was thinking how do I do that for the blog.

Taking inspiration from all the lovely colouring I’ve seen,  I’ve had some time to myself and coloured in my own Johanna Basford colouring page. It was very detailed and my pencils were not small enough, although it was difficult it was really relaxing.

Because this is all quite new to us all, I want to record what I am doing in many ways just like you are doing in your journals and on sway.

I’ve decided to cover my journal with a blank sheet of paper and for each day I’m going to put a small doodle or picture to mark something that happened that day. I can’t wait to see how it looks in a few weeks time. It could be my own personal where’s wally.

My first few drawings are; 1 – Day one it all started 2 – My Thumper story and 3 – Today I made some yoghurt bark.

If you want to join in, it would be great to see pictures of them in the coming weeks and if you start now you can easily catch up, its only been three days.

Happy Doodling on this Well-Being Wednesday.
