Talk Money Week (formerly Financial Capability Week) is the annual celebration of the work thousands of organisations are doing to improve money management across the UK.
It is an annual event organised as part of the Financial Capability Strategy for the UK and aims to get more people talking about money.
The dates for this year’s Talk Money Week are 12 – 18 November 2018.
Throughout the week organisations will:
- encourage their customers to talk money
- showcase their services, and
- lead the charge to make their work more effective by turning evidence of what works into action at scale.

Hi
Welcome to the UK Safer Internet Centre’s first Safer Internet Day 2019 update!
We are excited to announce that Safer Internet Day 2019 will be celebrated on Tuesday 5th February 2019 with the theme: ‘Together for a better internet’.
With just five months to go until Safer Internet Day, it’s a great opportunity for you to start planning what you can do for the day and to reach out to your networks, making sure they save the date in their diaries too.
Last year Safer Internet Day was the biggest yet! Reaching 45% of young people and 30% of parents in the UK. We saw Safer Internet Day spark a national conversation about the positive uses of technology, and have a real impact on young people’s behaviour, knowledge, and confidence.
We know that the success of Safer Internet Day wouldn’t be possible without all the supporters who do so much to make a difference on the day.
If you want to jog your memory of all of the great things that happened across the UK for Safer Internet Day 2018 you can read this blog.
Safer Internet Day 2018 had a great impact on UK Parents, resulting in 75% of parents who heard about the day talking to their children about using the internet safely, you can see more about of the impact of Safer Internet Day in our report.
We are really looking forward to hearing all your ideas and working with you to have an even bigger impact this Safer Internet Day.
Best wishes,
Will Gardner
Director, UK Safer Internet Centre
CEO, Childnet
