Warddykes Bass Guitar

posted by Louise Kirby, YMI coordinator, Schools and Learning

On Tuesday 20 March pupils from the Warddykes Bass Guitar After School group gave an informal showcase to their families.

Taylor played Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran accompanied by Miroslaw on keyboard. Bailey played Next To Me by Emeli Sande accompanied by Miroslaw on keyboard and a beat box battle with Miroslaw.

After the musical pieces the audience was encouraged to take part in the group activities such as clapping call and response to get a taster of what the pupils are learning.

This group is run by musician Miroslaw Hodun and funded through Youth Music Initiative.

SSERC Bulletin and SSERC Primary Science & Technology Bulletin

posted by Craig Smith, Acting Manager(Support Services), Schools and Learning

As from the 3rd April 2018, SSERC will be launching a new logo and new website. The website will be one of our main vehicles for communicating with external stakeholders.

To maximise efficiencies, and linked to our organisational Digital Strategy, the SSERC Bulletin and the SSERC Primary Science & Technology Bulletin will no longer be issued as paper publications. Initially each Bulletin will be available as a pdf on the new SSERC website , which  is compatible will all mobile devices, tablets, PCs and laptops,  eventually moving to be a digital magazine.

We hope that this move will increase access to the Bulletin, encourage wider readership and allow us to continue to offer value for money to member organisations.
