Angus Fostering & Adoption

posted by Lisa McMahon, Senior Practitioner, Child Protection

SCRA has produced a new Pre-Hearing visit video for young people. This may be something you wish to discuss and share with  children and young people when considering the possibility of a pre-hearing visit. This is something that SCRA will arrange if requested and it is important  that we all support children and young people in preparation for attendance at hearings especially on the first occasion.

Pre-Hearing Visit

I encourage you to look at this and use as and when required.

Refugee Week is Here

What does being a refugee or migrant mean to you and your class? Imagine you had to welcome a refugee or migrant into your school – how could you help them get settled in? Or maybe you have already had to?

This year, join tens of thousands of people around the world celebrating Refugee Week from the 18 to 24 June 2018.

To make it easy for you to get involved, we have created a homework challenge to help your class find out more about the lives of migrants and refugees, show their support, and celebrate the contributions they make to societies around the world.

Plus, don’t forget to join in the conversation online. Let us know how you are celebrating on social media using the hashtags #RefugeeWeek2018 and #PositiveMessengers
