Fantastic!
These are so useful – and something which is really lacking in the information from Andrell. Well done – and thank you!
My pleasure. And the appreciation is appreciated!
Thank you for sharing this. It will be very useful as we develop Big Maths in our school in Highland. Do you know how wide-spread Big Maths is being used in your authority? In Highland it is very patchy.
Hello Rita, Big Writing has been adopted in our area (Oban & Lorn), but BigMaths was only introduced via an inset presentation in the last 12 months. There is interest, but it is at the early stages. It certainly seems to have potential for providing good transition information on numeracy skills, and giving clear progress feedback for pupils. I find it still very tough to run in a very, very small school.
The planners came out of frustration with the Manual! Glad it is of use.
Thank you very much – these will be invaluable – and have saved us a lot of work !! 🙂
Thanks. I like the look of the checklists for the children but do you realise that the section for Multiplication has the Subtraction I can statements repeated (Levels 1 & 2).
Fantastic job – this is such a lot of work and much appreciated!
