Ghostly Goings on at Castlehill

Primary 1 and Primary 2 pupils from Castlehill Primary enjoyed a fun filled afternoon when they had their Hallowe’en Party on Wednesday 31^st October. All the children wore super costumes including witches, transformers and even a pink furry pig! A variety of games were played and everyone took part in the old favourite “dooking for apples”.

The Elephant Angel is a heart-warming new opera for audiences of all ages by composer Gareth Williams and acclaimed novelist Bernard MacLaverty. Based on a true story, it tells the tale of a lady zoo keeper who takes a baby elephant home with her each night during the Belfast Blitz, looking after it and keeping it safe with the help of the children who live near by. Fund raising for MacMillan Cancer Care

P6 pupils Amy Paterson, Millar Irwin and Nicola McKerral from Castlehill Primary in Campbeltown, walked, jogged and ran 3 miles round the school to raise funds for McMillan Cancer Care. Castlehill Primary School – Baldy Cup Winners!

Castlehill Primary were this year’s winners of the Baldy Cup football trophy. Teams from South Kintyre primary schools all took part – a great time was had by all. Weather stayed dry!!! Looking forward to Millennium Cup to be held in June.

Pupils from Castlehill Primary School in Campbeltown have been involved in several events recently. These have included the Kintyre Schools Badminton Competition, the Sport Relief Mile and a School Concert.
