BBC visit Rockfield

The children in the Gaelic classes in Rockfield got a huge surprise last Monday when a crew from the BBC turned up at the school! The pupils had taken part in some filming for Gaelic television programme “Dè a nis?” earlier this year and were delighted to be told by the television presenters that out of 16 schools, the pupils from Rockfield were the fastest on space hoppers!

The children were in awe as the cameras and microphones came running into the assembly hall and were shocked to hear that even although they had knocked down a cone while doing the space hopper race and had a second added onto their time, they had still won. The children were awarded with a trophy that will take pride of place in the Rockfield trophy cabinet!

The programme will be shown on BBC Alba on Wednesday 20th March at 6pm.
