Last term Primary 6 in Cardross were thinking a lot about how they could help the local community and town during Harvest time. Everyday they collected tins and packets of food from the whole school for the Food Bank in Helensburgh, they were overwhelmed by everyone’s kind generosity.Primary 6 were also the hosts for the Senior Citizen Harvest tea and this year we decided to create ‘ Super Soup’ parcels for them to take home and enjoy.
The guests were entertained all morning with songs from every class and indulged in delicious home baking generously baked and donated by P6. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their special morning and the P6 team enjoyed sharing their stories with their grandparents or guests too.
Due to the large amount of homebaking that was left over, P6 held a bake sale the next day in school and raised £56 for Water Aid. P6 has definitely shown great teamwork and enterprising skills. Well done!
