The children, parents and staff of St Joseph’s were delighted to sponsor the Stand Up to Cancer campaign in school on 14th October. The children came to school out of uniform and happily donated £1 towards this very worthy charity. The school had been approached by the local Cancer Research Shop and asked to be party to their local Stand Up to Cancer Campaign.
As a community minded school, they were more than willing to help. A heavy bucket load of money totalling £201.21 was given over to Mrs Alison Sturgeon, Assistant Manager of the Cancer Research Shop in Helensburgh on Friday – the perfect way to finish the first term at school – supporting local charities and community causes!
A great amount for a great cause! It all adds up.
