The P4-7s from Carradale Primary School have recently attended a 4 week golf session run by Dr Abernethy and Mrs Margaret Campbell. They were split into two groups, the ones that hadn’t played golf before and the ones that head. They had great fun playing on the field, chipping and putting.

Everyone found it exciting and fun playing and Morgon-Faith Baxter, P4 said “It was fabulous because I hit the ball so hard!”. Miss Kilgour, Class Teacher said “It was fantastic seeing the children improve from the first week to the last!” Everyone was quite upset when it finished, but hopefully there will be some other sessions soon.

After the October holidays, the children are going to have Club Golf sessions, with their Class Teacher and Lindsay Ramsay from Active Schools. These will take place in the school. It is then hoped that a similar block will take place again on the golf course in the Summer Term.
