On Thursday 22nd September we celebrated our 3rd Eco Schools Green Flag with a One Planet Picnic. All of the food at our picnic was local or sutainably produced. Our Councillor Mrs Anne Horn came to join us along with parents, family and friends. Our oldest and youngest pupils cut the beautiful cake which was made by Hannah O’Hanlon, a community member of our Eco Committee and it has a very appropriate Beach Schools theme!
A special thank you to Campbeltown Co op who donated a lovely selection of Fairtrade fruit and chocolate, and to Kinloch Cheese company for their donation. Not to forget the Gigha ice cream company who donated a huge amount of their delicious produce!
All of this is made possible by the work of the Eco Committee, in particular Mrs Sheila MacSporran, other staff members, Parent Council,our dedicated and talented Catering Manager Ruby and the hard work of the children themselves.
