We held our very first Spring Fayre at Bowmore Primary on Wednesday 30th March. The sky was blue, the sun was shining and there was an air of excitement within the school! Beautiful crafts were created by our children, from cute wee birdhouses to Easter egg flowers! Our ECO committee sold their home-grown plants and organised a second hand book and toy stall which proved very popular.
Our brilliant P6/7 put on different activities and raised a brilliant £85 – they led a great profit and loss lesson to work that out! Other popular events included: Guess the number of Balloons in a Tractor, an Easter egg hunt, led by our Easter bunny and even a Human Fruit Machine run by P3/4! There was a real buzz about the school and there were lots of happy faces – adults and children alike.
At BPS, we would really like to say an enormous thank you to all our families and friends and our local businesses for supporting our school so willingly – you are amazing!
Our children and staff worked extremely hard to put this fayre together – what a team!
In total we raised over £1000 so thank you everyone for making this a great success – here’s to next year!
