It’s A Party

It has been a party in P2 all week.

We had our lovely Christmas lunch on Wednesday and we would like to say a big thank you to all the ladies in the kitchen who made it so special for us.

On Thursday we watched a very special show in the hall. It was called a Pantomime and it was about Peter Pan.  We really enjoyed it.

In the afternoon we did our dress rehearsal for It’s a Party and the other pupils in the school said it was brilliant.

Friday morning – well – what can we say.  We nailed it!! Bethlehem came to Polbeth and put on a wonderful show for all our families. Special thank you to all the pupils in P1-3 for working so hard.

In between all of this our P2’s have been working on Literacy, Numeracy, PE, and all other areas of the curriculum.

Primary 1 Nativity

This week was a very busy week.

We had a lovely Christmas 🎄 dinner together on Wednesday. On Thursday we enjoyed Peter Pan the Panto but the highlight of the week was our Nativity show.

We were all super proud of each other for being on stage in front of an audience. Some of us were super nervous but we persevered and supported each other and all tried our best.

Photos of the nativity have been uploaded to seesaw, please have a look.
Thank you all for coming to watch us.

Have a lovely weekend.

Catholic Education Week 2024

Catholic Schools Week 2024 | Diocese of Meath
We celebrated Catholic Education Week / Fortnight in November.
This year’s theme is “Pilgrims of Hope“.  Pope Francis has confirmed that 2025 will be a year of Jubilee, which happens every 25 years.
Pilgrims of Hope centres around the idea of hope for a world suffering the impacts of war, ongoing effects of Covid and climate crisis.
“We must fan the flame of hope that has been given us, and help everyone to gain new strength and certainty by looking to the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart and far-sighted vision. The forthcoming Jubilee can contribute greatly to restoring a climate of hope and trust as a prelude to the renewal and rebirth that we so urgently desire; that is why I have chosen as the motto of the Jubilee, Pilgrims of Hope. ”  The Holy Father, Pope Francis.

We are pilgrims of hope.
We walk in solidarity with our sisters and brothers
worldwide, sharing challenges and celebrating joys.
We promise to be agents of change, working together for

We want to build a fairer world, where every person,

Rannoch News

We have had a lovely festive week in Rannoch class…We have enjoyed making festive baubles with our photo on them and we are looking forward to taking them home!

We have also enjoyed some time outside in the crisp air and time in the Sensory Room.

We have also continued with our studies of initial sounds and revised our understanding of 3-D shapes.

We have also enjoyed listening to Christmas music and songs as the festive season gets underway.

P2 News!!!

Well, we’ve almost arrived in Bethlehem after many rehearsals and we are looking forward to seeing you there this week. We have been so busy, completing all our Literacy tasks including RWI reading groups and writing information reports about Santa Claus. We saw a fantastic  new movie on Wednesday and ran a whole mile on Friday!

Primary 6R

Primary 6 have been very busy this week

We presented our Solo Talks this week on various topics that we find interesting, we were also given the opportunity to peer assess. We noted the things that worked well and provided feedback on things they could do even better for future talks.

On Tuesday we got to watch a movie with the whole school. We really enjoyed it.

We started our whole school rehearsals for our carol service, we are feeling quite confident that we know our reading and songs. “We Three Kings” is the favourite.

We led Advent Mass today (Friday) and welcomed parishioners to our school. Many students had a part to play in the mass – welcoming our parishioners, bidding prayers and offertory procession.

After our mass we participated in a Christmas themed Daily Mile with the whole school, 14 laps of our playground to be exact!

Christmas and The Daily Mile by P4

Xmas Tree

Primary 4 made beautiful Christmas tree cards this week!

On Friday morning, the wholes school took part in the Daily Mile. We walked around the playground approximately 14 times which equals a distance of one mile.  Some of us walked, some of us jogged and some of us ran!  We even listened to Christmas music as we walked and got the chance to walk with our friends from our own class, other classes and with our siblings.
