TheLifeOfTay!

Another busy week in The Life Of Tay class!

We enjoyed making our gifts for the Christmas Fayre….we enjoyed the sensation of paint on our fingers and hands and enjoyed sprinkling the glitter!

We have advanced our Number work to recognise matching spots and numerals.

We have also enjoyed listening to stories in our Literacy time and meeting the challenge of building jigsaws of black line safari animals…and tracing animal outlines to practice our pencil control.

We have also had the tummy tickling experience of different flavours of jelly in our Tactile Time…and playing with our motor skills fishing game and ramps!

A busy week in the Autumnal sun.

We have been outside and enjoyed time in the short-lived snow.

Our numberwork is progressing day by day and some of us are now beginning to recognise pictures and related numerals.

We have also advanced in our Literacy and are beginning to independently order the months of the year and days of the week.

We have also had great fun making spoon people….with bright coloured feathers for hair and pipe cleaners for legs and arms!

WE have enjoyed our wet week!

You have booted-up and had time outside on the Trail Trail and Kick Pitch where we played together.

We have also enjoyed jigsaw challenges this week and have built towers with our giant Lego!

We have also worked really hard on our problem solving skills…we have matched our 1-10 acorn spots with the number pair.

….and finally we have enjoyed some sun in our classroom!

An action packed week has been enjoyed in Tay class.

We have enjoyed playing catch on the Kick Pitch and have built towers in the Outdoor Classroom where we worked well together.

In class we have created squirrel tails in our Autumn Art class and matching the heads and tails of safari animals in our learning.

We have also worked with colours and monster pictures in learning how to recognise colour and parts of the monsters’ bodies.

We have had great fun in P.E. and donned our waterproofs to enjoy time outside on the Trim Trail.

We also enjoyed a sensory experience with jelly – lots of messy, tasty, fun!

Welcome back to the Tales of Tay!

We have enjoyed meeting up again after our well-earned break. We had such a busy start to our first year at St Mary’s and have continued in the same vein this week!

We have wellied-up and enjoyed Trim Trail increasingly muddy fun! Songs and personalised learning have focused minds keenly in our Literacy and  Numeracy and we have had great fun with flour!

We have read, drawn, worked out puzzles, matched pairs, listened to initial sounds, played in the mud and the sand, made Autumn Art leaf pictures, and completed jigsaws! All in all, a busy week 1!

In Tay class we can’t quite believe that we have been together for over 2 months and it’s now the October break.

We have learned so much…We are on our 6th initial sound, can build our names and practice our fine motor skills. We have also enjoyed Art and Music and Sensory play together.

We have played inside and out! In the sun and in the rain! We have made friends together and lots of happy memories!

We wish all of our followers a lovely break and we hope you join us again after the break to read about our adventures to come and our memories waiting to be made!

We have enjoyed another busy, busy, week!

We have loved playing in the colours of the Sensory Room and have also enjoyed exploring Autumnal colours in our Topic work…where we have also enjoyed listening to songs to do with the leaves changing colour and falling from the trees.

In our Art work we have enjoyed designing Autumn trees with paints and cotton buds as brushes.

As the weather has turned a bit cooler, we have wrapped up warm for our time outside and have ventured into the Field, where we have loved running around with loads of space.

We have had a wonderful week!

As the weather has turned a little more Autumnal we have enjoyed time in the Outdoor Classroom and the Sensory Room, where we have enjoyed the lights and the music!

In class we have worked on our find motor skills with dabbing practice. We have also made great progress in independently building our names…and the whole alphabet!

In terms of building, we have also worked very well together in constructing towers in the classroom!

We have had another wonderful week in Tay.

We have focused our Literacy learning on the initial sound ‘b’ in our songs and practiced our fine motor skills in dabbing safari animal spots! We have also enjoyed working on the lightboards…

In our Number work we have counted our fingers and our toes…focusing on 1-5 and 1-10! Great fun!

During our Morning Group we have broadened our learning journey relating to ‘Days of the Week’ to include the ‘Seasons’ as Autumn has truly arrived!

…And we have continued to enjoy sensory time outside and construction challenges inside!

Taylor is going to his fourth family this weekend…He has had a wonderful time on tour, and we have all enjoyed learning about his adventures. #TayonTour   #TeamTayTaylor

Busy, busy!

We wish you all a lovely September long weekend and we look forward to sharing the next part of our journey together when we come back on Tuesday.
