We have had a lovely festive week in Rannoch class…We have enjoyed making festive baubles with our photo on them and we are looking forward to taking them home!
We have also enjoyed some time outside in the crisp air and time in the Sensory Room.
We have also continued with our studies of initial sounds and revised our understanding of 3-D shapes.
We have also enjoyed listening to Christmas music and songs as the festive season gets underway.
This week we have enjoyed decorating the classroom…we have our own tree and lights and tinsel!! We have even painted pictures on the windows!
We have also enjoyed making Christmas cards with our pictures on to give to our families.
We have also taken part in the Santa run…wearing coats and wellies to keep warm and dry…with Santa hats on to keep our heads warm too!
In class we have finished our studies of 3-D shapes and are moving on to displaying data next week.
We have continued our phonics studies too…looking at the initial sound ‘d’.
It’s been a super week!
We have had a super week….Our Read, Write, Inc. studies are progressing well and in our Maths we have moved on to Addition and Subtraction within 20.
With December round the corner we have also been really excited to begin our rehearsals for the Christmas play in a few weeks. Our singing is coming on really well and we are learning all the actions too!
For the Christmas fayre we enjoyed designing our own elf door hangers and Christmas tree decorations – we hope you like them!
We have had a lovely week in Rannoch class…we enjoyed ‘super crunchy’ time on the Trim Trail with the frost early in the week. We found it surprisingly warm in the early winter sun.
We have also progressed in our learning of the initial sound ‘s’.
In our Beyond Number studies we looked to 3D shapes in the world around us…next week we are moving onto learning about displaying data through tally charts and block diagrams.
We also had a lovely time in the sensory room and enjoyed listening to relaxing music in class.
We are also really proud of our gifts for sale at the Christmas Fayre,,,we made glitter painted glass tea lights holders with Christmas ribbons…we think they look lovely!
This week we have moved no in our Literacy studies to focus on the initial sounds…we have enjoyed forming this letter in foam and practicing our find motor skills in writing it with our pencils – also practicing our ‘pinch’ grip.
In our ‘Beyond Number’ studies we have also moved on in our learning…from 2D shapes to 3D shapes…In our learning we have looked at recognising which 3D shapes are to be found in everyday objects around us.
In our creative work this week we started our gifts for our stall on the Christmas Fayre…What we have made…..Is a surprise!
We have also enjoyed time in the Sensory Room and lunches with our friends.

We have enjoyed Outdoor Learning this week in lovely Autumnal sunshine. We also continued to explore our Topic of Houses and Homes.
We also made our own playdough in Autumnal colours which we really enjoyed! We have also worked with Numicon to develop our Numeracy skills, and have looked at the initial sound ‘a’ during our Read, Write Inc learning time. We have also enjoyed looking at our new Julia Donaldson books and being read to.
This week we have been very busy!!
We have focused on our learning around the ‘m’ phonic in Literacy, and enjoyed sensory formation of the letter.
In ‘Beyond the number’ we have designed houses using 2-D shapes.
We have also enjoyed ‘Ready. Set. Go.’ races on the ‘kick pitch’. We have also enjoyed ‘hop-scotch’ in the Outdoor Classroom.
We have sung songs to welcome us into the day during our Morning Group sessions.

We’ve enjoyed sensory painting of Autumn Trees, races on the Kick Pitch and time in the Sensory Room.
We also learned more sounds in our Literacy time and progressed with our recognition of 2-D Shapes in our ‘Beyond Number’ studies.
We also all enjoyed the new Rainbow tunnel in P.E. and the Halloween party.
This week we had lots of fun in P.E.
We also practiced our letter formation and recognition of which letters match with which images. We also enjoyed looking at books from our library corner.
We enjoyed time in the sensory room and listened to songs to help us with our recognition of 2-D shapes during our ‘ beyond number’ learning time.
