We have enjoyed a lovely first few days together as the Tay Class of 2025-2026.
We have already enjoyed many new experiences with each other and look forward to many, many, more as our year unfolds…We hope that you can join us along the way!
We have had a lovely week in Rannoch. We have consolidated our Phonics learning this year and are able to make sound associations with pictures, and in some cases with the associated word.
In our Numeracy we have focused on ordering muddled numbers to 10, to 20 and even to 25!
In the warmth of the Summer sun, we have enjoyed time on the Trim Trail and enjoyed experiencing, and participating in, Sports Day.
We are very excited about our trip to Mill Farm next week where we look forward to a day of adventure, and new experiences!

We have had a wonderfully sunny ‘Health Week’ in Rannoch.
We have enjoyed playing football. We have enjoyed sensory trail time. We have also enjoyed making delicious fruit smoothies on the smoothie bike, which was so much fun!
We have also continued to focus on our learning and have revised our Phonic knowledge and learned more about the initial sounds of ‘sh’ and ‘r’.
In Art we have painted fish in relation to our Topic focus; ‘Under the Sea’. We have also made models with clay…of dinosaurs!
A great week with great friends and great weather!
It has been a lovely week in Rannoch. We have played together and learned from one another.
In Literacy, we have made great progress on working with the initial sound ‘h’ and on related CVC words.
In our Beyond Number studies we have developed our skills at putting pictures into size order; biggest to smallest and smallest to biggest.
We have also enjoyed listening to music, dancing and painting butterflies.
On the Trim Trail we have loved playing together on the new Sensory Trail.
We wished everyone in the class a lovely holiday weekend and look forward to seeing each other on Tuesday.

We have had a lovely sunny week in Rannoch. We have enjoyed time outside on the field and on the Trim Trail.
In class, we have moved on in our learning to begin to understand about different sizes and how to put them into order from biggest to smallest. We have also been learning about big, bigger & biggest…and small, smaller & smallest.
In our phonics studies we have learned lots about words beginning with the letter ‘l’ and the difference in the sounds of ‘l’ and ‘L’
A super week and we are looking forward to our long weekend!

We have learned about the initial sound ‘e’ and have begun to work on recognising numbers that are more than, and less than, one number.
In our Arts & Craft time we have created a wonderful 3-D whale glitter poster….and have enjoyed playing in our marine shore tuff tray!
We have also been practising brushing our teeth after lunch to keep our mouths clean and healthy.

We worked hard on our understanding of the initial sound ‘f’ in our Literacy studies and also revised our awareness of our daily routines. We looked at our morning routines at home, our daily routines at school and also our evening routines at home after the school day.
We have also played with our friends on the field and enjoyed time in the sensory room.
We have had a lovely term and learned so much!
We are looking forward to a hopefully sunny break and then to rejoining our friends.
