Red Nose day Total

comic_relief_logoMrs Thom and her team have been counting.  They have done all their sums and have a final answer.

Our Red Nose Day activities raised £211.61!!

That’s fantastic, thank you to everyone who joined in and gave money, time and talents to help raise this much. The UK government has promised to double all money raised by schools for this year’s Red Nose Day campaign, so our efforts will be worth £423.22!!

Money raised by schools this year will be used by Comic relief to help get 300,000 children in Africa into education and learning.

I can, you can, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!

Red Nose Day

We had lots of funny faces in school today, as part of our mission to raise money for Comic Relief on Red nose Day.

Both Bake sales ran out of stock before they ran out of customers, raising almost £100 from the sale of cupcakes, macaroons and rocky road.  Here are some pictures of the new members of staff on duty today:

P5 Red Nose Day Job Swap

Friday was a great day with lots of children doing Mrs Campbell’s job! It started with Mr Campbell and Miss Sweeney both from P1 who were in to teach maths. After break we had Miss Mackie from P7 who was doing the spelling tests and also Miss Gillies who was helping with the weekly reflections. We had P5 pupils who were out doing other jobs! Some were being the janitor, some were teaching in a variety of classes and one was being Mrs Nicolls for the morning. It was a fun way to raise so much money for charity.

Red Nose Day – Update

Congratulations to all of our pupils and staff who did a job swap and made this day a success, I think we all had a great day and all deeply enjoyed it.

Thank you too to everyone for your generous donations.  We have raised £295.73.

Mr Lewis Taylor

Head Teacher for the day

Miss Speirs says thank you to all of the other wonderful Head Teachers who took part today; Miss Toal, Miss Neilson and Mr Elder who did a fantastic job.

Primary 3

Our class are very much looking forward to red nose day tomorrow.  Angel will be taking on the role of Head Teacher. Louisa and Aaron will be working in the office with Mrs Thom and Hayden will be on playground duty. Donatella is going to be the teacher in primary 3 and she is worried that Mrs Strachan is going to be a naughty pupil!

Red Nose Day – Friday 15th March 2013

On Friday things will be a bit different in our school…

There will be many new members of staff and several new pupils as we take part in the Job Swap on Red Nose Day. The children are taking over!

AND

To raise money for Comic Relief we will be giving 50p to pop out of bed and wear red instead of our school uniform on Friday.
