This week, Primary 2/1 participated in money-based challenges linked to ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’.
We:
- Practised making given amounts using concrete materials (Circles were building amounts to £1 using 10p and 1p coins; Squares were building amounts to 10 using Numicon pieces).
- Participated in shop role-play to practise buying the items George wanted.
- Designed/priced our own clothing items to sell in the ‘shop’.
- Did coin rubbing activities with crayons and paper.
We are still awaiting more clues to find out who our mystery mail-person is!
