Primary 1

In Maths this week, Primary 1 have been learning how to subtract numbers. We discussed the different methods we can use to find an answer, including taking cubes away from a group, counting down on our fingers and counting backwards in our head.

In Science, we have been learning about how different living things grow and develop. We grew plants from seeds, made a floorbook to showthe life cycle of a frog and sequenced the stages in the life cycle of a chicken. From Monday, P1 and P1/2 will have live chicken eggs to look after so we can learn about the development of a chicken in real time. We can’t wait!
