Here are a few photos of this year’s panto, Peter Pan.  A great time was had by all, including some staff who were included in the show – not always willingly.
Sleigh bells ring…
We want to show off some of the super sleighs our children have designed and built for Santa this December! He will have a difficult job choosing between gold, glitter, rocket speed, reindeer power, and even time travel machines.
Planting a winter woodland
On Friday 14th December Primary 2 and 3 were well wrapped up in the cold and frost to work with our friends from the Oatridge campus of Scotland’s Rural College. They planted tree seedlings from the Woodland trust around the perimeter fence at the SUDS pond area of the school grounds. These little plants will grow in to rose, hawthorn, dogwood and holly hedges and encourage lots of different wildlife into the nature area at the pond. One special seedling was not planted – a Royal Oak, grown from seed collected from one of the royal household estates. This will be given a special position closer to the school, as part of the Jubilee Wood project.
Orchard planting postponed
The planting of our orchard has been postponed until the New Year, in the hope that we will have better weather.
We will still be planting the tree seedlings from the Woodland trust on Friday 14th as planned, with help from our friends at Oatridge. Thank you to all parents who offered help with the orchard – we will be in touch when the new date is announced.
Primary 1a learning
This term we have been learning about repeating patterns in maths. This week we were making our own patterns and we will use this learning to help us make our own Christmas wrapping paper next week.
Primary 2
We have been learning about the senses this term. What can you see, hear, touch, taste or smell near Christmas time that is different from other times of the year?
For our carol service next Friday we have also been learning the Christmas Alphabet song. Try it at home with the actions to make sure it looks and sounds super on Friday!
Primary 1a
Remember pantomime money and sleigh for beginning of next week. Â We will use the sleighs to help decorate the hall for our party.

Testing testing..
Hello cherubs 🙂 Hoping you enjoyed your Christmas dinner today!
Can you please make sure that if you cannot get a nativity costume, that you let myself or Mrs Andison know by Friday! Thank you!
Primary 4 – 1960’s Toys
Primary 4  have been researching some of the popular toys from the 1960’s. We found information, pictures and even old TV adverts on the internet to help us learn about the different toys.  We are going to organise all of the information we have found into a Powerpoint and present it to the Primary 3 children who are currently learning about toys.
P7 Christmas song
Our Christmas song is ‘I wish it could be Christmas every day’. Look it up on Youtube and sing along!
Remember to bring some festive accessories to wear at the performance.
