Assembly awards
Here are the award winners on stage at the end of P3’s assembly this week. Well done everyone for your hard work and perseverance in your learning.
P5 Message
Hello this is Ella and Katie coming to the blog from Primary 5.
We were just coming online to see how people were doing today in our school?
Today was the P3 Assembly and it was amazing! We’d love to see if anyone has been on any school trips or if some classes have done an assembly lately and want to share?
In P5 we have been doing Spanish quite a lot but it is very fun and very good.
We have also been learning about landscapes, rivers and lochs and how they start at a mountain. The very top of a mountain is called the peak.
Some people taught P4 some Spanish and the others went through to P4 to learn German from P4. In P4 we were learning different types of animals in German. In P5 we were teaching them numbers up to 10, how to say hello and goodbye/ good afternoon in Spanish.
BYE BYE! (Adiós)
Sending our thoughts to France
On behalf of the school I contacted our friends at école St Jacques in Roussillon to let them know we held a minute of silence for the people of France.
The teacher replied to thank us. Â She says they too are thinking about the terrible events and the children are asking lots of questions.
They will be in touch again soon.

P4 haben Deutsch gelernen!
Primary 4 are fantastic French speakers, as well as English! So, this week, for our Modern Languages focus, Miss McLaughlin decided to challenge them to learn some German!
We learned how to say hello/goodbye and introduce ourselves.
We focused on learning German names for pets, to match what we had been learning in French lessons. We found that there were some similarities between English, German and French words. Did you know ‘hamster’ is the same in all three languages?
We made flashcards to teach a friend or partner about pets. We are looking forward to sharing our learning with Primary 5 on Tuesday!

Paris Attacks
We will be holding a minute silence at 11am to pay our respects to the tragic victims of this weekend’s devastating attacks in Paris.
Primary 7 Assembly
Here are the stars of yesterday’s assembly- Primary 7. Â They shared what they had learned about World War 2 and told the story of two children who were evacuated to safety. Â Thank you for helping us to mark the season of remembrance Primary 7. The picture shows the cast at the end of the show.
Children in Need
Please note that children will not be dressing up for Children in Need this week. Â We will have a dress up day as usual on the last Friday of the month and this money will be for Children in Need. Â The theme will be onesies/pyjamas.
P3 Blog
We have been learning the skills of futsal, which is similar to football but the ball is smaller. Â It is very popular in Brazil. Here are some pictures of us showing our skills.
