Our nursery boys and girls have been working hard to learn Christmas songs for their Singalong on the 15th December. Some children were very excited to tell me that they had being doing their homework – singing the songs at home with an adult. Beautiful voices can be heard coming from the nursery and I am looking forward to hearing them on the 15th.
PUSCPS choir
We have had a very successful year this year with the school choir. We were recorded for the West Lothian council facebook page, we opened the school fair, we sang for the passengers at Edinburgh airport and raised some money for the school and we entertained the staff, patients and visitors at St John’s hospital.
Thank you to everyone who joined the choir this year.

Christmas Fayre
Our Christmas Fayre on Friday was a great success. Â Thank you for all of your good humour and generosity making it such a success. Â We will have an update soon with the total raised for the PSFA school fund.
A huge thank you for everyone who helped out including many new members of the PSFA who were fantastic at their first event and we look forward to working with them on many more.
If you want to be involved in your child’s school, helping out the PSFA is a great way to do that.

Primary 5 Turn Politician
This week, Primary 5 put on their political hats and got debating!
We had recently been assigned to political parties (SNP, Labour, Liberal Democrat, Conservative and Green), chosen our party roles (Education, Employment, Health, Trade and Housing) and written our party manifestos. Next, it was time to debate (in role) in our version of the debating chamber at Holyrood!
It was tough work, especially with Miss Polly McIver as the Presiding Officer, but each party debated so well!. They were able to answer key questions in role, give reasons to support answers and say if they agreed/disagreed with another party member. Miss McLaughlin hasn’t had so much fun in years!
Have a look at our fantastic political parties and manifestos below.
Next week, it’s campaign and election time! Check in with us to see how we get on.
Until next time…
