Unfortunately we have had to cancel this evening’s Family Learning Together session.

This week Primary 4 were given free choice of a task to practise their spelling words.  Murron decided to make tablets of clay and write her words in them.  What a creative idea, they looked super and they seem to have helped her to learn her spelling.  Well done Murron!
Pumpherston used to be a mining village and is on the edge of Livingston. We found this out when we were learning about our local area. Â We wrote reports and organised our information using subheadings.
We looked at Google Maps to find the school, the shops, takeaways, parks and train stations, then we created our own maps. Most of the class found it quite tricky because some places didn’t show on the map, this was because our map was missing lots of information.
Now we are looking at co-ordinates and directional instructions. Â We learnt that a quarter turn was 90 degrees and a full turn was 360 degrees. Â We played the game Turtle Pond and Battleships to help us.
Thursday 15 December is our Christmas Lunch day in school. Â We try to make it as fun and festive as possible with music and decorations.
This year we have decided that it would be a good day to have as a CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY so that we are all dressed in the mood for the season. Â We will post some photos of the chaos afterwards!
