P 2 / 3 Weekly Blog

As part of our rainforest topic we created 3d snakes. We had to follow instructions to make our snakes.

First we had to roll up the pop sock.
Then we had to stuff it with cotton wool.
We had to pick and stick on googly eyes.
After that we cut material for a tongue and stuck it on.
A finished snake!

Primary 5

This week, Miss McLaughlin made a not-so-clever mistake and forgot to send the P5 certificates to assembly!

Here are our winners for the first week back! Well done girls!

Check in with us next week to see who the winners are!

Until next time…

P6 Blog

P6 have started Term 4 with real enthusiasm! So much so, in fact, that some chose to play Maths Champion during Golden Time for extra practice (see the photo below). We also had a(nother) tense head to head round against the teacher for Miai… who won! Well done, Miai!

P6 have also started off their final term by showing selflessness and thinking of others; Lewis, Jed, Miai and Ewen all decided to pass up their chance to be Star of the week so that someone else could have a shot. It is great to see P6s thinking of others like this.

P3

This week P3 have been:

  • We have been designing our own islands on big bits of paper.  My island has houses and a farm. (Ellie Curran)
  • We played capture the flag in gym. I got a point for my team by running to the flag really fast.  Then I ran back to my team and I didn’t get caught! (Chloe)
  • We have been practising our class assembly for Friday 28th April at 9:15am. (Kai)
  • We did the brain busters challenge with the number 22!   I thought it was a spicy challenge! (Jessica)

Primary 5

Yesterday, P5 ventured out of school to visit Dynamic Earth.

We became Time Lords and travelled back through the years to the beginning of the universe, learned about the Big Bang and how land was constructed/carved from volcanoes and glaciers.

We also got to take part in a fantastic ‘Natural Disasters’ workshop where we learned more about volcanoes, tsunamis, tornadoes, earthquakes and meteors.

Below are a few photos from the day (more to come from Mrs Bonner’s camera!).

We had a brilliant time. Thanks to Sarah-Jane and Kirsty Brown for coming along with us.

We hope you have a fantastic Easter and will see you after our much-needed two week break!

Joyeuse Paques!
