Sport Day – still hopeful

It is currently raining.  The forecast predicts a mostly dry afternoon with a chance of light showers.  We still intend to proceed with Sports Afternoon at 1:10 and will plan carry on even if it is a little showery.

I will make a final decision based on the situation between 12:45 and 1:00 and will communicate it then.

Many thanks.

Steven Eagleson, Headteacher

Sports Day

Everyone should wear comfortable sports wear all day tomorrow (Thursday) and bring a jacket.

light showers are forecast but that’s not going to stop us.

We’ll see you on the field from 1:10. Remember that for security no pupils will be permitted to be removed from the field. Everyone must return to the classrooms and be released from there.

Thursday 15 June – 1:10pm

This coming Thursday is our sports day.  Pupils will take part in 12 activities in their Pumphie Pals groups.  We will be on the field beside the school after lunch, starting at 1:10pm and finishing before 3pm and everyone is welcome to spectate and enjoy the afternoon.   As we are not planning any races, we will aim to go ahead with the event barring the very worst of weather.

For security, please DO NOT take any children away from the field during the event – allow teachers to return to their classrooms with all children, make their checks, and dismiss from the decks as usual.

Medieval Market Stalls

Our P5 pupils with Miss McLaughlin and Sarah Jane are preparing for their Medieval Marketplace showcase on June 28 at 2pm.

The fantastic team of joiners from McTaggart Construction, the company building the new houses behind the school, have stepped in and built us these fantastic structures and we are so pleased with them.  McTaggart also came to speak to us at our DYW week and are coming next week to dig holes in the playground for some new projects.  A great example of community partnerships.  Thanks to all.
