This week for our writing 
theme was Halloween.
LI: To develop our imaginative writing
SC: I can… describe a setting
I can……use adjectives.
The children were shown a picture of a haunted house. With a partner they shared their ideas about what they were going to write for their setting. We shared some of ideas with the class. While the children were writing Mrs Campbell and Mrs McConville circulated around the class to offer feedback to the children to enable the children to act on that feedback right away. In this way the teachers were able to help the children make progress towards their individual writing targets. At the end of the lesson we shared some of the good stories and linked them back to our learning intentions and success criteria. Whenever a child shares their work with the class they receive a house point. Fantastic work P5!
