Parent/ Carer Call for Help with P4-7 Glow Teams

First of all, can I please say thank you for your support as we move to Teams for learning. The staff are working really hard to check in with children and set learning tasks. It is fantastic to see so many children engaged and accessing the learning.
As we add more content there are a few points we need your help with as we don’t want the groups to be difficult to navigate. Therefore we would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to speak to your children about the following points.
  1. Use their chat channel for ‘chit chat’. Please do not post ‘hi’ etc in the learning areas. This is making them cluttered.
  2. When uploading work, they must click reply to the post. That way all the learning for that task stays on the same thread and their teacher gets a notification. Currently, some children, after being reminded, are still posting their work as new posts, meaning the Team channels are becoming difficult to navigate.
  3. Children all learn in different ways, and we know devices in your home might be limited or on a rotation. Therefore, no child should feel stressed to complete all the tasks. They can access them when it is appropriate. However, please ensure your child is accessing something, this indicates to us that they are still learning.
Failing this, we will have to begin deleting the random posts and comments in order to ensure our groups are easy to access and navigate for all children.
If you need any help, please contact the school office on wlpuscps@westlothian.org.uk and we will try our best to help.
Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time.
