P4-7 Glow Teams Responsible Use

It is great to see so many children logging into their glow team and accessing learning today.
Please remind your child – the team is for learning and is not for general ‘chit chat’, for example ‘Hi’ or ‘What are you doing?’ The current level of ‘chit chat’ from some children is meaning it is difficult for children to find their tasks and for teachers to see what has been completed.
Each team has a chat channel, which is a more informal way that children can communicate to each other.
The children decided the following ways to use their Team responsibly:
Thanks for your support with this.

Primary 2 – week beginning 23.3.20

Good morning Primary 2.  I hope you are all well and were able to use your bubbles over the weekend!

Take the time today to have a look through your home learning pack. You will see that I have put in some addition and subtraction games for you.  Please don’t write on these games so you can use them more than once. Once you have rolled the dice, write the numbers in your home learning book. The same goes for your letter formation sheet.

I have attached this week’s home learning grid.

We would love to hear from you through a blog message or sending pics of your learning to the school email: wlpuscps@westlothian.org.uk

Take care

Mrs Strachan 😊

Primary 4-7 Glow Learning

Good morning from Mrs Mooney, Mrs Campbell, Miss McLaughlin and Mrs Andison!

This post is to explain to parents of P4-7 children how learning will be posted.

Each week, staff will post two Sumdog challenges – one for Reading skills and another for selected Numeracy skills. They will be available for children to complete until 12.30pm on the Friday.

Children who use IDL are encouraged to access their account and complete lessons.

We would also encourage children to practise their French daily using the Duolingo app (free to download from the App Store).

Activities across the week will be posted as follows:

Monday – Spelling words & 3 activities from homework grid (this will be posted if children have lost it); PE sessions with Joe Wickes (9.00am every weekday – access via YouTube)

Tuesday – IDL/Topic-themed learning activity; PE session with Joe Wickes

Wednesday – Reading activity; PE session with Joe Wickes

Thursday – Numeracy/Maths activity; PE session with Joe Wickes

Friday – Free Writing activity; PE session with Joe Wickes

Children are free to post learning on their Microsoft Teams account or record it in their homework jotter.

Take care and stay safe.

Primary 4-7 Staff 🙂
