West Lothian Sumdog Contest

Sumdog’s West Lothian Maths Contest is t here! It finishes at 8pm on May 21.

Here are some things to keep in mind during the contest:

Students can play at any time.
For the score to count, the West Lothian Maths Contest activity must be showing in the green panel on the left of the student’s screen when they click to start each game.
Their scores are based on correct answers.
A class’s score is the average of the scores from all students from that class who take part.
To appear on the leaderboard, at least 10 students from a class need to play.

We still need a few more players in each class to join the leaderboard!

Primary 4-7 Video Calls

This week we are launching our video lessons for P4-7, how exciting!

Each week one of their lessons will be via video call so they class can interact live with their teacher.

This week the calls are on:

P7 – Wednesday 20th at 1.30pm

P6 – Wednesday 20th at 11.15am

P5 – Wednesday 20th at 11.00am

P4 – Thursday 21st at 10.00am

Please go over the information below with your child so they know how to access the call.

Good morning P3,

We hope you had a lovely long weekend!

Here is your Learning Board and resources for this week. There are lots of activities to keep you busy! You can record the answers to learning tasks in your jotter or on the sheets listed if you are able to print them.

We have set you a short literacy challenge on Sumdog and we would also like everyone to enter the West Lothian Maths contest on Sumdog. It finishes at 8pm on Thursday 21st May. I can see some of you have entered already, well done! We need at least 10 children from P3 to enter to get a place on the leaderboard.

If you usually do IDL spelling in class, remember to log into your account. (Details in Reading Records)

Primary 2 week beginning 19.5.20

Good morning P2 ,

I hope you had a lovely long weekend and are all safe and well.

I have attached the Home Learning Board for this week which has lots of activities to keep you busy. As this is a shorter week, there is one less activity in each box. Remember if you can’t print any of the worksheets, you can use your home learning jotter. A wee reminder that the West Lothian sumdog contest is on this week!

Well done to Emily, Ty, Sara, James and Asia, who had the highest scores in the recent class time and doubles challenge on Sumdog. Super work!
