A Miss McLaughlin post this time…
On Friday, both the upper and lower school trialled our new approach to Golden Time. Children were able to sign up to a particular activity and were in mixed groups to take part. It was lovely to spend time with some familiar faces! Below are photos from my Outdoor Learning group – we had a smashing day for den building and the teams were fantastic!

Group A pushing themselves on the ‘leap of faith’. Well done guys!
Having a wonderful time. Weather very changeable but we’ll manage! Â Apologies for the delayed Groupcall, there was a problem with the system.
Despite a small bus delay we are now on our way to Hexham. We will keep in touch as WiFi allows. We expect back by 1:30 on Friday but will update then.
Four of our amazing P7s – Donatella, Olivia, Rory and Kaden – today took part in the Broxburn heat of the annual Rotary Quiz.
The four of them were fantastic – sensible, confident and knowledgeable.  The team impressed and excited us all by winning the quiz – AND – because their score of 55 was the highest in West Lothian they also go through to the Area Final at St Francis Xavier School, Falkirk on May 19.  The winner of this round will compete in the National Final in Carluke on June 3.
We could not be more proud of our fantastic pupils. Â Well done Team Pumphie.
Our school football team looked fantastic in their new sponsored strips on Friday. Â Many thanks to the parents who help the coach, David, at the matches. Â If you are interested in being more involved in supporting our team – please let us know.
