Parent/ Carer Questionnaire

Thank you to everyone who has already responded.
We continually gather the views from our parent/ carers and other partners in a range of ways. We have developed this questionnaire to enable us to seek feedback on specific areas of the life, ethos and culture of our school. We will use the feedback from this questionnaire, the West Lothian Council Ethos Survey and other feedback we have, to celebrate our positives and continue on our improvement journey.
Thank you for taking time to complete this questionnaire.

P7 Leavers’ Celebration Arrangements

I can’t believe that it’s almost time for our Primary 7 children to transition to high school! In order to celebrate this milestone we have a range of events planned.

  • Excursion: Primary 7 have voted for the cinema and Pizza Hut as the venue for their Leavers’ trip. A letter about this trip will be issued shortly. Our parent partners contribute to £5 to the cost of this trip.

  • P7 Celebration Assembly: Wednesday June 26th at 9:30
  • Children should wear a white shirt and their school tie. Please bring leavers hoodie with them.
  • 9:10am: Tea and coffee for guests before the assembly.
  • Due to health and safety, each child will have the opportunity for 4 tickets. Please indicate on the slip below how many tickets you would like.
  • The gift received at this event is funded by the parent partners and the school.

  • P7 Celebration Disco: Thursday June 27th at 6:30pm
  • This is a ticketed event, costing £5 and they should be purchased before the event.
  • The theme for the event is “Hawaii”.
  • Please complete the form below to give permission for your child to attend the disco.
  • The money raised by Primary 7 at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party along with the money raised from Parent Partners will cover the rest of the cost for this event.
  • 6:30pm: Photo booth opportunity in the dinner hall for families and friendship groups.
  • 6:55pm: Families leave and disco begins. Children will have pizza, buffet and a surprise during the disco.
  • 9:00pm: Children promptly collected by an adult.

Families Learning Together 4

On Thursday we had our fourth Families Learning Together session of the year. Family members joined their child to look at their learning progress in their jotters. Thank you to everyone who came along.

We also used this opportunity to engage families on self evaluating our school improvement plan.

Our nursery also had a Pop in and Play session and we had a fantastic turn out! Thanks to everyone who joined us.

Sharing Our Digital Learning

As part of Digital Learning Week we invited our families to join us for some digital learning. Thank you to everyone who came along and joined us.

P2 taught their families how to use the green screen.

Basketball Team Success!

A big well done to our basketball team in making it to the West Lothian Wolves playoffs on Friday. This is a huge achievement for our newly formed team!

Thank you to Mrs Hamilton who has passionately coached the basketball team and inspired the team to persevere, and to Mrs Ross for supporting the team on Friday.

Digital Learning Week Assembly

Part of our improvement plan for this session was digital learning, so we used digital learning week to showcase our new skills and equipment. Today we had an assembly to celebrate our achievements!

Thank you to Shona from Sky who came along and shared her digital journey with us, reminding us that their are lots of careers for girls and boys in computing.

Thank you to our Digital Directors for presenting at assembly.

Here is some of the learning we shared.
