On Friday 15th November, we are having a Children in Need fundraising morning.
To raise money we will be:
- Dressing up or dressing down for a donation. Why not dress up in yellow or in spots like Pudsey?
- Having a ’Guess the Baby Teacher’ competition. Pupils can try to correctly match the baby pictures to teacher’s name for the chance to win a prize. Each entry will cost 50p.
- Holding a bake sale in the dining hall. We would be very grateful for any parent/carer baking donations. Please hand any donations into the office and list the ingredients used for those with allergies.

Knit N Blether
Our knitting club takes place in our community library every Wednesday from 3:15-4:15 pm.
We have a great mix of parents and children who can knit or are wanting to learn. There are lots of other crafts that we can do with wool, so we make friendship bracelets and do a bit of weaving amongst other things.
Just now we are having a go at making phone cases, scarves, fingerless gloves and pom poms. Look out for the things we have been making on sale at the Christmas Fair.
West Lothian Sumdog Competition
This week is West Lothian’s Sumdog Competition and children might want to take part in this as their home learning choice board.
Out of 43 classes:

Remembrance Day 2019
Mrs Andison, Mrs Bonner and Mrs Adie took our P7s to lay a special wreath at the war memorial today. Â They were also joined by some of our nursery pupils.

Dress Down Day Fundraising
The recent amounts raised for our Dress Down Day was:

Thank you to everyone who contributed. We will add this to the amount raised in our next dress down day and classes will selected resources for Together Time.
West Lothian Gardening Awards Success!
Sarah-Jane and Miss Burton attended the West Lothian Council Gardening Awards on Friday 25th October. Our school received two awards:
- Best Container Gardern
- Best Decorative Garden
We received the beautiful plaque below and a gift voucher.
These awards for a fantastic recognition for all the work Sarah-Jane and our Gardening Club have done in the past year.
Dress Down Day
A reminder that Friday 1st November is a dress down day. We would request if children decided to dress down that they make a donation. The house and vice captains have decided that the money raised will be used by classes to select resources for Together Time.
Please no football colours or crop tops.
