Golden Time

Primary 2-7 pupils signed up to their chosen golden time activity this week and had great fun playing with peers from different classes. All classes have been learning about Rights and Responsibilities since returning to school and article number 31 is a favourite – we have the right to play.

Building is great fun!
We had a great time playing field games.
I really enjoy art activities.
Outdoor play is great fun!
We made vehicles and raced them.
We loved construction!

  • Blind food tasting

Outdoor Learning (P4-7)

A Miss McLaughlin post this time…

On Friday, both the upper and lower school trialled our new approach to Golden Time. Children were able to sign up to a particular activity and were in mixed groups to take part. It was lovely to spend time with some familiar faces! Below are photos from my Outdoor Learning group – we had a smashing day for den building and the teams were fantastic!

Looking forward to next week’s session already!

Until then…
Miss M & the Outdoor Team 🙂

Our Achievements

Primary 4 have been discussing the work we are proud of today.

Samuel – “I used a lot of connectives in my scary story this week.”

Jamie “I got my highest score on big maths this week”.

Kyle – “I am proud of my work on time with Mrs McConville and that I worked so hard I got a certificate”.

Michal – “I am proud of my maths work – I did a lot of sums”.

Sam “I am happy that I have moved onto a harder book in reading”.

Jessica – ” I am proud of my writing work this week”.

Renee – “I am getting better at my multiplication using the groups strategy.”

P4 Dance

P4 have been learning a dance routine in P.E with Mrs Pender. The children are in role for the dance and it would be beneficial for them to be wearing a black t-shirt and black/dark shorts for their performance. These clothes can be sent into class as soon as possible and stored in the children’s P.E bags until the performance.

Thanks,

Miss Morrison

Achievements

One of our P3 boys has started participating in a Junior Park Run.  He has run the 2km circuit a few times now and he is loving it – and his time is improving. What a star!

In P4 one of our boys has achieved his first win at Ninja Racing Carts which he started last season.  He has been improving greatly and is very motivated.  What a champion.

Gymnastics

On Friday mornings we are starting to work with Ms Pender to learn gymnastics. Today we were learning about balance. Ms Pender was delighted with our work and lots of us were able to demonstrate our moves to the class.
